If I was a cop I would do this all day.
Quit camping in the left lane! I don't care if you are already going over the speed limit. Get to the right! It's safer for everyone that way.

Point is, speeding is dangerous, no doubt, but the chaos caused by people not following the rules and proper lane usage is worse. It's making the drivers on the highway EMOTIONAL, which is causing road rage. Here in Mississippi, we have signs on the highway that read "SLOWER TRAFFIC, KEEP RIGHT"... Its the LAW for a reason, so that there is order and structure to movement on the highways. Honestly...until the State Police start enforcing it, it will only get worse. Until then, I'll just keep going around these idiots one way or the other...

Displaced trolls this thread every time it comes up. He'll mess with the wrong baw someday and get run off the road.

What a ridiculous statement. One is equally as illegal as the other...
I could make the argument that if no one was speeding, then there would be no tailgating and people driving slow in the passing lane so speeding is the root of the problem and therefore, worse.

I'm not trolling these threads. It just baffles me that some of you are so self righteous and so illogical at the same time.
You hate on people who break the law by cruising in the left lane but have no qualms about speeding and swerving in and out of lanes.

Not many people follow the rules. I’ve been thinking of getting a train horn to blow at those arseholes that refuse to give up the left lane. Anybody have one ?

Like the speed limit?

Because I wouldn't have to swerve in and out of lanes if it weren't for dumbasses like you !!! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbirdtongue.gif)

That's great. But that still doesn't mean everyone is going the same speed. If the limit is 70 then some will be going 68 and need to be passed. So someone obeying the speed limit going 68 in the left lane would still impede the traffic for those going 70. They aren't speeding but they are still breaking the law.

and swerving in and out of lanes.
false. Driving in a straight line while speeding is way less dangerous than swerving in and out of lanes. Get the frick out of the left lane and it isn't a problem.

Why do people in these threads assume I cruise in the left lane just because I point out the flaws in your argument.
Posted on 10/4/17 at 2:29 pm to NewIberiaHaircut
Exactly. News flash:::: drive in the right lane unless you have to pass. Then get back over to the right lane and stay there until you need to pass again. Simple. Structured. Orderly. Safe. And its THE LAW.

Because there are only 2 type of people in this world... People that cruise in the left lane and people that are bothered by it. You have shown your hand.

And I agree that that person should get over.
My issue in these threads has always been the case where some truck is going 70 in the right lane and let's say there is another truck in front of it. I come up behind him going 75, so I get in the left lane to pass. Some douche like hammertime comes up behind me going 90 and starts tailgating me and expects me to get over as soon as possible (ie between the trucks) or speed up so he isn't inconvenienced.

Tell that to the big rigs on I-12. Those frickers will cruise side-by-side at 65 for miles

So the guy trying to zoom around cars, cutting them off, in a line of cars in the left lane passing vehicle(s) in the right lane...in moderate traffic setting....is okay. And I'm the idiot when I speed up a little and don't let him cut me off? If I truly were going slow and should have moved over to let him pass first, that's one thing. My thought is if you pull come up on a line of cars passing, you wait your turn at that spot in line and as traffic lightens up and people begin to move back to the right lane because it's clear, then you continue on and pass them as well. But if you come around me and try to skip me in the line of cars....frick you, hope you wreck and die for being the a-hole causing traffic wrecks.
Edit: not a personal frick you, just a general frick you to all those particular assholes who are impatient in traffic and cause accidents because they drive wrecklessly.

What a ridiculous statement. One is equally as illegal as the other...
quote:Speed is not the root of the problem, speed differentials are. Yes, higher speeds make potential accidents more damaging, but it's not the speed itself that is a problem. If everyone would drive the same speed, there would be fewer accidents. But that's not going to happen, so the LAW says to do the next best thing: group similar speeds the best we can, and do not impede other drivers.
I could make the argument that if no one was speeding, then there would be no tailgating and people driving slow in the passing lane so speeding is the root of the problem and therefore, worse.

So you get mad when people don't obey a law that enables you to break a law?
Do you see the hypocrisy yet?

To many innocent lives in danger for you to get macho on the interstate. Just move over, speed up before the last second, or let him in.
