MY mother-in-law did my ancestry and she traced my family back to Holland to New York to Kentucky to Louisiana. They had no slaves and did fight for the South in La. in the Red River campaign and east Texas near Shreveport. No slaves. We farmed and raised chickens, hogs ,and cattle to sell for meat to the public. That led to grocery stores for about 100 years in NE Louisiana.

There were jews in the Confederacy? I thought they were a bunch of racist nazis?
Judah P Benjamin was easily the most competent member of the CSA Administration. Arguably, the only one.
