The pilot would be the touring model. Highlander would be the limited model

Toyota... anecdotal sure, but my Mom has a Highlander that's getting close to 300k miles and still running strong.

Both good choices imo.

My wife and I looked at vehicles for her this past weekend. I was thinking of starting a similar thread, but Pilot vs Nissan Pathfinder.

I was very surprised at how much more leg room is in the 3rd row for the Pilot than all the other mid-size SUVs. That, and the fact that my family has had Hondas for years and never had issues makes it our current #1.

Damn this is a legit tough SUV choice.

Both are high in quality and reliability.

I personally dig the Lexus front fascia Highlander over the bland Pilot.

Highlander is my choice.

My wife has the highlander. It's a really nice ride. We have to grandsons (9,4) that we take all the time with us. I had the DVD headrest with headphones put in last year which I recommend for anyone with kids... great investment

The Highlander looks better.

I prefer the more boxed look the Pilot had. They should have kept it.

Pilot has the best capacity inside by cf, but they are looking more and more like mini vans to me.

Wife and I got a Highlander, and it's been good for what it is.

Definitely.

Clearly Highlander for me. The Highlander has gone from slightly station wagon looking to more akin to a SUVish crossover, while the Pilot has gone from boxy to full on minivan.

Family is stocked full of Pilots, fwiw.

The only difference is the cubic feet behind the 3rd row. Pilot wins that. I have a Highlander bc I like the look better.

This

The boxier Pilot looked a lot better imo.
