If you aren't looking at the flag with hand over heart, isn't it just as disrespectful as kneeling?

What was your breaking point:

Their drug use?
Their domestic violence?
Their drunk driving?
Their kneeling?

It is all about intent and interpretation. Protestors have right to intent. The audience has right to its interpretation. Insofar as interpretation is the determinative factor in ratings and revenue, disrespect is really what you presume it to be.

It doesn't seem like this is true. Many have said they are kneeling in protest of Trump, but what we hear time and time again is that kneeling during the anthem is disrespecting the flag.

I just don't see the same outrage, which is why I asked.

I just hope all the outrage lowers the price of the Cowboys-Falcons game in November.

Trump didn't start this mess, Kaepernick, the black power, cop hating, socialist fan did by not just bringing his hate and racist politics front and center but he did it by disrespecting the flag, to be extra obnoxious & to add fuel to the fire.

Many many polls were released showing a huge drop off in fans interest for watching the NFL last year and President Trump decided to give the America loving fans a voice and try to rally the players in the end of this game.

The fact that any players would so naive to believe that they are protesting President Trump and not the fans just further shows how ignorant and out of touch they are on this issue.

Keep politics out of sports and especially off the field, this is a minimum requirement for many.

And they shouldn't be praised for standing for the flag, it's what they are supposed to do! They are spoiled little children.

But he certainly escalated it. The thing was dying down until his rally in Alabama.

He indeed did escalate it, the numbers from the polling fans showed him something Had to be done. He sparked the fire that will force the correction by the end of the year, maybe next year if the players are extra bad at math.

I, for one, thank him for it. The NFL can burn until these children learn how to behave with respect and professionalism.

It's called "respect" some people go their entire life never knowing what it truly means or how it works.

Meh...phony virtue signaling is phony virtue signaling. Both are pathetic, scripted pretendings imo.

Do you show the same outrage when POTUS is disrespectful?

Do you stand with your hand over your heart when you hear the anthem at home?

Or do you throttle your outrage based on your projected level of comfort?
