Well, my dog is a 25 lb beagle-terrier mix and he was attacked by 2 coyotes right in front of me. Fought them off just long enough for me to help him. So I would say bigger than him.

If you have access temik laced hamburger balls are hard to beat, in a pinch some flybait laced tuna will work as well.
Be aware that it is just as effective on dogs, cats, coons, opossums, local bums, and whatever eats what ate it.
Or even better, they will run out of cats and yappy dogs soon enough and move on, just have a few beers and enjoy the show.

Does not work.
Sends more Coyotes into heat and they have larger litters.
Listened to a Joe Rogan podcast with a wildlife writer named Dan Flores (who is from Vivian, LA) all about Coyotes. Interesting stuff.

Heard a podcast not too long ago with a coyote expert.
He said killing them doesn’t do much good because if a number of a group dies, the females have a biological response that kicks their reproductive system into overdrive and they start having bigger litters than normal and you just end up with more.

One coyote will usually ignore anything bigger than it. A pack will attack anything they can safely take.
I had a few dumb enough to jump the fence with my Kangal in there a few years ago.

Trap and release in Everglades... the coyotes can then hunt the unwanted pythons that have made a mess down there.

Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

We have a lot of them in my area of BR. All you can do is remove their food source. They are very difficult to catch.

Coyotes are now a problem in almost every state. Unfortunately, shooting them causes their numbers to grow faster. Normal litter sizes are about 5-6 pups, when their population is suppressed the litters can grow up to 12-16 pups.
Anytime you hear a bunch of coyotes howling in the woods behind your house, they're taking roll. If one of their guys is missing b/c I shot it, they will have twice as many new ones every time.

Read up on Coyotes in Chicago. They walk amongst the skyscrapers there. Some studies are showing a higher chance at survival in urban areas compared to their traditional habitat because food is so easy to find

Sounds like coyotes and feral hogs are about to take over this country!

Couch cushions torn up into fist size pieces soaked in used cooking oil. Place out away from where pets will have access. Problem solved. But be prepared to have lots of cushions at the ready.
