Don't leave pets outside and light those fricking coyotes up fire power. It's Alabama. Use the guns I KNOW they have.

if your too squeamish for the ground up light bulb trick, just buy a pet donkey.
donkeys will frick up a coyote.

Urban area? I recommend bait and a crossbow.

It isn't just in West Mobile. It's in the actual city as well. They travel through the city using Mobiles huge concrete drainage canals.

Get bigger dogs and keep em inside till they get big. Who cares about an outside cat.

Rabbit call
Suppressed Ruger 10/22 shooting 60 grain .22cal subsonic rounds with a VR-1 predator light on it
I kill coyotes at night with a vengeance with this set up and it makes less noise than an airgun. Inside of 100 yrs Wile E dies with the quickness...... ;)

Do what we do in Citro. Hotdogs injected w/ antifreeze.

Cut sponge into 3x3 squares and soak in bacon grease. They can't digest it, only problem is, domestics will eat it if not in isolated location.

So here is what we do. I call this the Moses Defense. We put some bait in the drainage canals, a bunch of cats and 3 month old puppies. Some peoples pets will have to be used...sorry. When the coyotes are in the canal enjoying the delectable pieces of pieces of pets, that's when we flood the canals as quickly as possible. Coyotes will be floating like the Egyptians in the Red Sea. It seems crazy...so crazy, it just might work.

Watched a show on PBS not too long ago about coyotes in urban areas. It was amazing to me how close we all are to these animals and never have a clue they are there.

Mobile's song bird population is going to be great! When coyotes kill cats, bird populations rebound.
frick cats.

My neighborhood in New Orleans has been having the same problem for a good ten years. They have finally managed to kill off the substantial stray cat population. Residents are starting to keep their cats and small dogs inside more, so hopefully will be getting better. With the cats gone, I've definitely seen more squirrels and birds recently.
