I was looking into that awhile back. Where can you find good handles?

I have an Edwin Jagger DE89. It's probably $30ish. Merkur also makes good safety razors.

1. Edwin Jagger or Merkur handle (I have the EJ DE89) - $28 lasts forever
2. Feather platinum blades, 50 count - $15 (lasts me 1-2 years, could be more if I didn't change them out so often)
3. Taylor of Old Bond Street shave cream - $15 (lasts me 6-8 months)
4. Badger Brush - $20-50 (lasted me over 3 years so far and going strong)

You're set. You might drop $ on the whole set up but giong foward you're looking at spending way less per year.

All bought on Amazon

eBay.

Vintage Gillette Techs can be had for ten bucks. It's a 3 piece handle like the Edwin jagger. That damned things are made like bullets. If minimally maintained it will outlive your grandkids.

Check out West Coast Shaving.

They sell all of the popular brands up to the high end stuff. From brushes, to lather bowls, blades handles, whatever.

If you want to start with good stuff on the sheap, check out their "Build Your Own Sets". Everything you need at a discount price.

Don't be afraid of their "in-house" brand handles. Those are quality steel nice handles.
