Maybe they knelt for their right to free speech, which our President is trying to suppress?

He isn't suppressing shite. He is trying to make them accountable for their actions.

POTUS can express himself just like these athletes are doing? Oh, that's right, libs don't like him doing that.......who wants the speech suppressed.

This talking point is bad and you should feel bad. Noone is in jail, prison, or being fined by the government for refusing to stand during the anthem.

Holy hell. The side that has sought to shut down speech by conservatives all over the nation with violence now cares about the First Amendment.

Trump can literally do anything. He cucked y'all, again.

The president isn't the one advocating for violence against anyone that doesn't toe the PC line pal

If I knelt down in my office in the middle of an obligatory meeting everyday for my right to free speech, I would be gone by the end of the week. Welcome to the real world million dollar athletes

There is no protected right to free speech in the private workplace. The 1st amendment of the Constitution only prohibits Congress form making laws limiting speech, it does not apply to private employers and employees. A employer can prohibit any type of speech or other expression as a condition of employment even on your own time and in public places away from the workplace. Most NFL player's contracts already restrict what they are allowed to say when giving interviews or making public appearances.

Yes. In some alternate universe, progressive totalitarians are the ones that don't riot when someone they don't like speaks on campus or gets elected.

Where in the frick in the constitution does it say you have the right to protest while at work? You have no rights at work other than what OSHA and the employer allows.

So the president said he was going to instruct Congress to pass a law requiring you stand for the anthem? That's the only way their rights would be infringed. You liberals are some stupid sons of bitches.

Maybe they knelt for the right to remain a monopoly and don't want the President or any Congressman sniffing around their dirty business.

NFL doesn't like to be told anything about anything about doing anything.

They are the most powerful, sports monopoly in America and nobody is going to hurt their business - especially the POTUS - that's what this was all about. NFL can't stand being critized over anything. So they threw a hissy fit.
