Not sure of the names, but I know where they were downtown. Picture was taken in the open field south of the old Pentagon Barracks. The three buildings in the picture sat where the State Library is right now.

and nobody believed me when I said that team was seven-deep.

I bet the tallest guy wasn't much over 5'11

Top left rocking a proto-frat swoop.

Didn't a couple of those guys start the Walk-On franchises?

Looks like they went all out on the basketball goal.

Don't worry. Coach Wade's top priority is a facility upgrade.

That's a serious looking break away rim. Was the head coach of the assistant football coaches since football was king at LSU at that time?

Are those cotton jerseys? racist

For sure all of them could dunk (but were not allowed due to the quality of the hoop).

Back when regulation hoop height was 6 feet

I think that's Marcus Thornton in the back row on the left standing next to Trent Johnson.

look at the height difference between these guys and the hoop... I don't think any of them could execute a lay up

All the players in the picture are ID on the net.
There is a site up with the picture and I Id the missing ones for them years ago.
I have the information in my 3 boxes of the 1905-1910 LSU sports, but have a long, long day tomorrow; if I can find the information Wed. I will post it.
2 key players that would have been on the 1909 basketball team had to sit out due to grades, Doc Fenton and Ryan (?).
W.J. Phillips is one of the players in the photo, he is one of the Pennsylvania players that came to LSU and is close to Doc and Coach Wingard. Phillips would later die in the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918-1919, he was a Major in the US Army at the time.
J.Y. Sanders the Governor's son should be in the photo.
I will have to check the photo of Levi A. (Lee) Himes, that could be him on the side of the players. He should not be a letterman on the team. Based on memory it is not Levi., but Levi was like the trainer, assistant coach of the 1909 team.
Others that could be in the photo:
L.R. Lesher
C.B. Johnson
J.R. Keeny
J.A. Larcade
Charles Reily
V. Moseley
P.B. Lewis
Not likely to be in the photo, Magruder, Matenzo, Mike Lally.
I will check on other names later.
