Because the cost to move a single bedroom apartment is the same as a 5000sq ft house... thanks for the overwhelming amount of details

Got a quote today
To use a 26' truck - 1160 flat fee
Then 145/hour for a 4 men crew which starts as soon as they pull up the house.

So about 2,900

I'm in the process of moving less than 200 miles right now. The quote to move a 2 bedroom duplex was over $1,000. However cheap you think you can get away with moving, double your number. It has been an extremely expensive process.

Just rent a truck with a power lift gate and do it yourself.

You’ll need to hit Harbour Freight and get some mover’s dollies, regular dolly, straps, tape etc. Find boxes behind a shopping center.

Probably $700-$900 total to move.

Made this exact move in 2015 and I had a one bedroom apartment, didn't use movers, and drove a UHAUL with a car in tow myself. Still cost about $1,000 total.

If you are using movers add about 50% to whatever you THINK it will cost because they are going to take their time. And I'm not sure how much furniture you have but you'd definitely be cutting it really close with a 26' truck. It might take two trucks to move that size house.

I think $4,000 sounds about right honestly.
