I fully agree. And the NFL is big business, and management has the right to decide who plays, and who rides the pine, or gets put on waivers.

Hey Tiger.....I may be many things but a coward I am not......LOL

How about the solution being you try to understand why some people feel unsafe and disrespected. Otherwise, STFU about the players.
Hey, Tboy, you think they feel disrespected when their cashing that big arse check, libtard? You're part of the problem in this country!

Well I don't make contradicting statements one after the other like you do so maybe it's you who's confused. And no it really doesn't suck to be me but from your hate filled responses I can tell it does to be you.

Under no circumstance should an American disrespect the American Flag. Soldiers have fought and died for that flag and it's a symbol of this country that should never be disrespected

What is this all about?

Even better, do something about the BS that caused these athletes to protest the way are. Stop condemning and either get involved with police brutality or do nothing. But name calling and bitching about it the way people have turned into "disrespecting the flag," which it is not, will only make people go harder until they are heard.
It's real easy to say to people shut up and protest the way I want you to when you've never been in those shoes. Police are getting away with shite left and right and you expect people to feel like you since you haven't been touched by. There are a lot of good cops, but a ton of shitty cowards who find courage behind a badge and feel the need to prove it.
By the amount of threads started about it, I'd say the kneeling is working just fine.

I hear what your saying but do you honestly think the family of a fallen black soldier has an outraged family right now? I'm pretty sure they totally understand what is going on with the kneeling. Don't group your judgements with every single fallen soldier.

Navy?
Semper Fi
And one of the reasons I'm not still active duty in the Corps is because I couldn't see myself continuing to risk my life for the many racist assholes that live in this country.

Stop talking about it??

Yeah let the hide like cowards instead of standing tall like the soldiers do!

There U.S. actually has a flag code that outlines things like this. Turns out, players kneeling during the anthem doesn't violate it.

Taking a knee during the anthem while the flag is flying high is just as bad as turning your back to the flag. It's absolute disrespect.

Keep fricking that flag, grandpa

A lot of people violate the flag etiquette, I see it all the time in my neighborhood. I don't say anything since I assume they have good intentions, though I have bought new flags for some people. I see it used in advertisement, "improperly" used on clothing and on disposable items. Most people have little idea about proper flag etiquette.
I personally don't see taking a knee as disrespect, it is availing themselves of a right the flag represents. Now putting on headphones and dancing or eating, drinking and talking through it (the latter I have seen a lot by people in the stands at events) that is disrespect.

Think of the Boston Tea Party as a protest against a very unpopular act/law/government practice. "No taxation without representation." They didn't dump tea overboard because they hated tea. They didn't do it to be disrespectful to the people who grew/harvested/brewed the tea. They exhausted all verbal and written political means to affect change and were finally driven to ACT (non violently).
If you can see this as an issue that is complicated and nuanced, then maybe you can see the connection. If you're a 1 or 0 guy, probably not. I'm sure you're a great guy in many aspects and I would definitely buy you a beer for your service to our country. I bet you didn't fight for freedom to just to make restrictions.
