Laissez les bons temps rouler!!

Posted by Shere Khan on 3/5/22 at 7:10 pm
It's been a great weekend for LSU spring sports, may it continue!

Hope everyone had a great/safe Mardi Gras!

(Side track) Anyone else like Jimmy Allen/Nelly song, Good Times Roll? It has a Louisiana title them and they reference Baton Rouge but when it gets to "Roll T%#= Roll" I bleep it out like any other four letter word.
Exactly who's the "they" you speak of the needs to teach their kids.....

Exactly who's the "we".

If you're not specific these are the words that lead to being labeled racist.

I'm sorry that your friendship did not lead to a more healthy understanding.

The Marine oath and code are all about virtue so........ dial back the the frustration/anger please.

Thank you for your service!

You mentioned serving with people of color but did you get to know them?

I hope you are no longer active duty or reserve as you would be violating your oath to defend peoples rights to the 1st amendment, even those that support BLM. To do anything less would be communism.
You have NO confirmation on what Joe would do. You're talking out the side of your neck because you are in fact selfish.

Jamar changed his mind, it's his right. I hear all the time about how great capitalism is....well, Jamar apparently thinks its great also. Deal with it. Here you are screaming like a socialist becasue you want him to play for free for your entertainment.

LSU is more than one player, BTW. Congratulate the kid and wish him well.
You got me, that was unfair and very hypocritical, which was the point.

You feel better snowflake?
Pay it forward young people, pay it forward.

Great job!!
I do not appreciate TRUMP or anyone else using the USA platform to advance divisive political arguments.

This thread is an example of what they go through on a daily.... die hard supporters (thankfully) and transactional phuxs (regrettably).

Jacoby is a positive young man in so many aspects, yet because he has values other than some, they try to disqualify him while they supposedly detest the "cancel culture".
The OP is doing a sh!te ton of melting to be calling someone else snowflakes.

Thank God you're not the one calling the shots.

17 yeat old dies (from having two dumb arse parents)

I'd wear one gladly. Whatever it takes to repeat as Champs.

I've yet to hear a logical/nonconspericy reason why masks are bad. We all follow the policy of.....no shirt, no shoes, no service. Why is adding "no mask" something ppl flip out over?
quote:
You are neck and neck with another player for a starting position. The week of game one, HE tests positive. He goes into quarantine for two weeks, you get to start and practice for two weeks.

You’ve ultimately won the job.

FIFY (just as likely to happen)
If doctors are comparing the treatment of covid to chicken pox, yes they are irresponsible.

Just go get the disease yourself and report back with updates on symptoms, health, family spread, timeline, etc. Be part of the solution.
If you support the OP's idea, I say "you first". Go to the nearest hospital, lay a big wet one on the first infected person that's willing and let us know how things are going after confirmed acquisition of disease.

Telling kids to play roulette with their health is downright irresponsible. I challenge you to find one current licensed doctor that would stake his career on the same suggestion.
I was late to the party on the "Legit" wagon unfortunately. I spent most of the year trying convince myself I was watching LSU. Beating Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, it became a reality that we couldn't be stopped on offense.
Condolences to you and your family.

Geaux Tigers!!
I've never heard this story, do tell....

Because they weren't gunned down by police officers that took an oath to protect and serve. Police are employees of the people. Murdering your employer causes outrage.

For the record in would protest the execution of firefighters, coast guard, people over 6', under 5', and anyone else without process. I'm confident those kneeling would also. Not that I speak for them.

If you could separate the "issue" from the "uneducated thugs" maybe you could have an educated conversation. But apparently you're angry and judgemental.

How cam you be "informed" without making a legitimate effort to understand the opposing view. That was the point. Had nothing th do with privilege. Is the camera man being disrespectful because he's not at attention? Why does he get a pass, because he's working? Who else gets a pass/privilege? The guy in the parking lot? If I'm at home watching on tv or listening on the radio, do I have to stand? Does standing even mean I truly respect the flag and the sacrifice of servicemen? Just because you wear a wedding ring doesn't guarantee you won't cheat.

You claim the people doing this are uneducated and ignorant. Where's your proof? Stats?

No disrespect..

Think of the Boston Tea Party as a protest against a very unpopular act/law/government practice. "No taxation without representation." They didn't dump tea overboard because they hated tea. They didn't do it to be disrespectful to the people who grew/harvested/brewed the tea. They exhausted all verbal and written political means to affect change and were finally driven to ACT (non violently). Many of the kneelers are protesting an unfair judicial system and "execution without due process". They feel driven to act in order to affect political change.(peacefully)

If you can see this as an issue that is sophisticated and nuanced, then maybe you can see the connection. If you're a 1 or 0 guy, probably not. By that logic one could argue that it's disrespectful to mandate standing (thereby restricting freedom).
