Cassidy is a physician who worked in a state run hospital. He did not have to deal with the bureaucracy of the private healthcare system from the perspective of how payment works. There’s a little irony in there somewhere.
I work in healthcare as well. I’m not a physician, but I works with them daily. Both inpatient and outpatient settings. Practicing physicians don’t have time to develop an expertise in healthcare finance beyond hiring someone to make sure their claims are submitted properly so they can get paid.
Cassidy is no different than any other politician wrt healthcare finance policy. You may agree with him or disagree with him but I think if you find yourself agreeing then take a few minutes and see what the healthcare organizations think of his bill. Spoiler- none are supporting it. That should tell you something. You say Obamacare has to go- great. I’m not in love with it either. But the proposed legislation is worse. Nobody is seriously trying to reform our healthcare system. They are all only rearranging deck chairs in the way that maximizes profits for insurance companies.

I love how when Bama posters post on here, most of the time they are called inbreds by at least a handful of people, but when Kimmel calls one of your politicians an inbred, the snowflakes start falling like it's winter in Minnesota.

What ever happened to the Man Show?

Fairly certain, Kimmel & Carrolla got too big for the show (I know a few years back they did a reunion).
FWIW, Carrolla has a pretty legit podcast.

Jimmy Kimmel called a politician from Louisiana an inbred by tiger81
It's probably true. I can't think of one La politician right now that isn't an embarrassment to this state.

And this is why I don't watch TV. I find it a huge bore, and I refuse to contribute to all of their delinquency. I'm not missing much.

I like how Progs magically morph legitimate discussion of Progressive excess into " feelings hurt " Strawmen. If you have any thoughts on cultural issues that interrupt the Prog Kulturesmog you are " butt hurt ". It's a strategy to delegitimize opposition and it's blatantly dishonest. Try to discuss this like a big boy .

His biggest issue with the bill is pre-existing conditions. According to him, the bill would leave the decision up to the State as to whether it would be covered.
