Posters have been talking about the dark days quite a bit on here as of late

Baw, if we go 2-8, there's gonna be someone's arse getting pilet'ed

I think the reason so many people are complaining is because they remember the dark ages...

I was saying that because yall folks better appreciate the 9-3 8-4 records the old days LSU was getting stomped at home by 30 points

Yep. We know what causes it. So no people are actively trying to avoid it. If you wait until it's gere, it'll be too late. That's what the problem is with "give O time to get his guys in"

I remember the dark days vividly. I was there for the Jerry Stoval, Mike Archer, Curley Hallman, AND dark Dinardo days. Last week's loss reminded me of how it felt in '89 and '99. What I saw wreaked of something a lot worse than just a bad loss...excessive penalties, discipline issues, and a sense of the team giving up. Reminded me ALOT of the above mentioned years when you knew it was more than a bad game. Call it overacting, but I believe O is in WAY over his head and have zero faith in his head coaching abilities. I hope I'm wrong.

Oh, these years aren't forgotten. Rather, the memories cause alarm in the face of last week's loss.
It's not that we want O to fail, no one wants that for the program. Unfortunately, its more that we expect him to fail.

Could be heading back to them. It's a lot easier to fall than it is to be built back up. It won't take Orgeron long.

I want you to know that in 1999, we STILL had fans on a message board called geaux.com that argued Dinardo shouldn't be fired. Led by the illustrious Bill D.
And NONE of the arguments were different.
Those of us who wanted him gone didn't know football. Had ALWAYS hated him and of course, "who else are we going to get" if we fire the guy who saved the program and won 9 games only 2 years prior!

Didn't that have something to do with the purple shirts the NCAA made us wear back then?

The Rant should be renamed "Kneejerk Reaction Central."

Did you not see the product on field Saturday night? No knee jerk here. O did not have that team prepared at all. It was really bad.....worst loss I can remember in a long time. And spare me the Auburn game a few years back....

Hmmm. So the "decline is real " is real?
