The fact we're even having this discussion (with some valid points presented on both sides ), tells me (at the very least ) that there is DEFINITELY some cause for concern. I think everyone here can at least agree with that.

We were getting pushed around on both sides of the LOS vs MSU which is a HUGE concern. Penalties and execution are fixable, but what can you fix about lineman getting owned in the trenches (mid season) by a team that traditionally recruits nowhere near your level ?!

Here's my question/ concern, (and you see this happen all the time in college football) : Teams that run the type of offense we are currently running (deception/finesse type offenses), traditionally produce weaker/finesse type defenses. If you are practicing against power/smash mouth offenses all spring and summer, your defenses tend to get tougher/more physical along the LOS. *Iron sharpens iron* . If you want some examples look no further than the futility of Louisville defenses, New Orleans Saints defenses, Texas tech defenses, Baylor Defenses, Oklahoma state, Washington State, Oregon. Etc. etc.

Teams with similar offenses have terrible defenses, that should concern LSU

Sat. was the worst LSU game I have ever seen! If we don't start playing 60 minutes it is going to get worst.

How has no one mentioned Arkansas in 2014?

We got blanked by a team that had lost freaking 17 games in the SEC in a row... It was far far worse imo than Saturday

LSU had 5 star players get owned by 3 star players and LSU had enough junior and senior leadership sprinkled the freshmen to not allow this yet it happened. Don't know of any such game where this ocurred before except Alabama and State isn't nowhere close to Alabama

The let down after losing to Bama in OT was real.

Saturday's loss was much worse than that one.

We got blanked by a team that hadn't won a conference game in two years, it was way worse how that team just quit after losing the Bama game.

But at least there was a reason for the shite performance. What reason can you give for the team quitting in the first SEC game of O's first year?

You just hate Miles, and you're letting your hate blind you as to jut how bad Saturday was.

What about Auburn in 2014 or Virginia Tech in 2002?

I'm not saying they didn't, but there's a difference between a team quitting and calling a game the worst loss ever in the history of the program... And I'm arguing this doesn't fit that bill

We got blown the frick out by State in our first SEC game of the year. not only did we get blown out, the team quit 3 games into a new coach's tenure. That is a historically bad outcome.

44-3 at home against Miami 1988. We got them back 40-3 in 2005.

He wasn't an LSU fan during the last days of Archer, during Hallman's 6 years or the last two for DiNardo.

UGA 2004 was probably worse, imo. We were defending national champs and we got completely humiliated in the biggest game of the week. UGA was a top team at the time, but I think by the end of this season you'll see people regard MSU as the 2nd best team in the west, and the loss won't look nearly as bad.

It was especially a bad loss because people were still debating over LSU vs USC from the year before, and in a lot of people's minds that game ended the debate.

21-0! That is the worst loss ever and the beginning of the end!

21-0 loss to one of Alabama's greatest teams vs a humiliating loss to a SEC cellar dweller, LSU quite against the cellar dwellers how bad will they lose to the rest of the SEC? Worse?
