Collins isn't up until 2020 and Rand and Lisa are 2022

If they can get this through, maybe Congress can get their approval ratings out of the single digits then and even have a shot of getting past 20%.

It's amazing how Democrats have seized on this as a big deal, but Republicans like Rand haven't seemed to notice...

Rand has always annoyed me with his puritan, cannonball shot to the head approach on every issue instead of chipping away it and still chipping away like democrats have made an art form of.
The change he wants is not going to happen overnight and it's high time he accept that.

McConnell wasn't gonna bring the previous hair-brained Republican repeal up unless he had 50 votes. He did and got 49.
I cannot tell you who, but I am betting this one gets less than 49 votes for it.

I prefer straight repeal but this at least seems to be an improvement over Obamacare.
I would think that the republican senators that keep voting against this will have big bull eyes on their back when they are up for reelection. Trump and even McConnell would want them replaced and all of the money would be against them in the primary.

Not sure why Murkowski would be a "no". It's pretty close to a bill she co-sponsored a few months ago. Maybe because her name isn't on it? KY's governor is supporting it big time and lobbying Rand hard on this. More likely to lose Capito or one of the other moderates.

Furthermore, Kentucky is set to lose billions in funding so why would his constituents want that?

Alaska's governor is against it. Murkowski has not tipped her hand but said she is closely consulting with him.

Kinda like Trump's win will stop the Supreme Court moving left, maybe this bill, if passed, stops the bleeding nationally and lets the states govern themselves here. I am for a full repeal too, but this is a start.
