Yes. Irony. You telling me to calm down when you have been running around in every thread calling everyone kids and overall melting about anyone criticizing O.
It's going to be ok. People can voice their frustrations.

no you just cant seem to understand the point. i will try to speak more plainly for you.
You said that Jimbo had no HC experience and that the situation is almost exactly similar to the LSU situation
By saying that you are implying that 0 has no previous record to base his coaching ability off of
go re-read my post and see if you understand it now.

Yes, it is. It will count as one loss, and nothing is off the table for the season. The rest of the emotional, anecdotal crap is just stuff "fans" like you add to make it seem like a bigger deal than it is. Whether we lost by 1 or 30, we still lost.
Unless we win out, that one game Saturday night will cost us at least 3 top recruits.

Thanks for playing though

Why drop a few grand on season tickets when you can always get lower bowl seats outside the stadium about 45 minutes before kickoff for 1/2 or sometimes even 1/3rd the price?

I am not an O supporter. Period. However, the reality is we are in serious trouble due to the talent and depth we have in the trenches. I don't care who is coaching, hard to win with the shite we have there.

Point out to me where in this thread i said anything that was incorrect that caused you to think that or to call me a fricking kid.

You said the situations are the same for Orgeron and Jimbo because they had no head coaching experience.
You wrote your post wrong if you didn't mean that.
Orgeron had tons of experience. It was just horrid. Jimbo had learned under Saban and Bowden and was the coordinator and HCIW. And it was still a big risk for them, but it paid off.
Orgeron wasn't just a risk. Orgeron was an obvious mistake.

Your emotional state. Your emotional stability seems fragile. My apologies.

So essentially, it was ok for Jimbo to get absolutely skullfrickingly destroyed by the same team that O destroyed, because of their past? I love you guys. Don't ever change. Lol

How so? by stating facts? If anything, the way you are posting to me in this thread seems to indicate your emotional state, maybe you should look in the mirror

Still waiting for you to point out where i said something inaccurate in this thread though

quote:nope. I saw "fundamental" issues that makes this not a "just 1 game". Specifically:
It's not "just 1 game" people
- many players quit on the field.
- freshmen aren't being brought up to speed fast enough. Not an easy task... but is a required task nonetheless.
- Not enough upperclassmen leading, especially on the sideline. If Arden Key tells you as a freshman "do it this way", you listen. But when they are sitting on the sideline instead of in their ears, you as a freshman feel alone. In a game like that where you might be saying to yourself "I did what I was told" or "I did it right, but it's not working" you have a leadership problem.
- Focus and preparedness were lacking. 100% on coaches. All of them. When on the sidelines no one is stepping up, you got a problem. When players are waiting/hoping someone else is going to make a play (saw plenty of that), you have a problem.
quote:I agree with this. Miles (and his assistants) got us here. However, I personally don't think I've seen enough by CEO (and his assistants) to say we are on our way to correct it. Yes, some corrections have been done. More could have been done, not alot, but more. It's critical enough to success where everything possible should have been done.

At this point, it is one game.

Meh. I'll let it slide.
The point is that FSU took a leap of faith per se with Fisher with 0 head coaching experience. A top 25 team took a coach with no experience. He went 9-4 and then 10-4 in his first two years. Would this be acceptable to you? Hell no it wouldn't because everyone flips out after 1 loss.
Everyone knows O fricked up at ole Miss. He's even said that aloud. Definitely a missed opportunity for him. But then he went to USC, served as DC and then what, 4-2 at USC the following 6 games when he became interim coach? So I think the ability is there. He definitely learned a little.
Im not defending O. MSU loss was unacceptable. He needs to learn the curve quicker. But I can't bail out after 1 loss.

Jimbo has a national championship under him and another appearance.
Orgeron was still commanding another man's ship last year. This year is his team.

1. We have severe roster issues. I'm not putting that on O. I don't know wtf we have been doing regarding roster management.
2. Mississippi State in the Mullen era is better than than they've ever been. This may be his best team yet.
3. College football has changed. You can't really compare historical results from over a decade ago because of the novel offenses. As others have stated, FSU got blasted by Louisville last year. They are okay.
4. The coaches have their work cut out for them, and O is 3 games into his tenure. I will wait and see how they respond, how recruiting goes, etc. O is our guy, it's who Alleva chose to lead our program. Might as well settle in. It's obvious we need to improve and I'm sure the coaches realize that.
