That's not exactly how it went down, but I can see how one would see it that way. We went down that road already ad nauseam.

Moving forward, i know a few have said that the drops should be done when the deal is accepted, but what if you werent the one that hit the accept button and you arent near a computer when it happens?

Some have said that they have no problem with trades being made to get a roster right, but what is the time limit allowed to get such transactions done?

How about don’t accept a deal until you’re ready to make the necessary adjustments? Ya know, like half the league already operates

but what if you arent the one that accepted it? what if you have several offers out there and then leave IRT for awhile and that offer (or even several offers) get accepted while you are away? Its certainly a possible situation.

Honestly, I don't care in the offseason and it is not an issue during the season.

Its not that big of a deal to me either, but for some it is, and I get their point.

If you aren’t the one who accepted you already know who you are dropping without an ulterior motive. The multiple offers being accepted doesn’t happen

The idea is to prevent the person seeking out a trade w an illegal roster. Which you think goes without saying but we’ve seen it happen already

Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean that it couldn't happen.

ESPN had it right where you had to drop players ahead of offering a trade and drop players immediately after accepting a trade.

I'm actually in the process of seeing if/how we can do that on fantrax.

You wouldn’t care if cqq made a trade right now while rostering extra players ?

if it was done in an effort to make his roster legal, i don't have an issue with it. Its kinda like doing a 3 team trade. Kinda.

Now, if he did a 2 for 1 where he acquired another extra player, that would be different.

I guess if you follow the constitution one should not have multiple deals out that would ultimately end w them executing a deal with an illegal lineup

Furthermore, while some may think that puts CQQ at an advantage, I say it puts him at a disadvantage because owners know he's trying to get his roster legal, so the offers he gets wont be as lucrative.

If he's allowed to roster 2 extra players under this provision then I'm gonna go add 2 players I been eyeballing.

I know for a fact he's near a computer...he sent me two shitty offers in an attempt to get his team legal and then rejected a counter.

Dude maybe I’m going crazy but no way. Same shite you did. No one should be able to profit off an illegal roster

I’m not getting into this again so just know I think that’s bullshite

I'm legal, my bad guys. I was trying to unload someone for a draft pick, didn't think anything of it. Won't happen again.

Doesn't look like Fantrax can do what espn used to do. Lame.

I think we are down to two suggestions in regards to an OFFSEASON trading rule:

1. When a trade results in extra players being acquired, require owners to drop said extra players the moment they are able to access the website. No trading will be allowed beforehand.

2. When a trade results in extra players, give the owner a designated amount of time (24 hours?) to make his roster legal. Owner is allowed to make it legal via drops or trades. Failure to do so will result in trade being reversed, and players returned to their original rosters.

Option 1 allows for too much gray area (it's not specific enough).

Or, we could have Option 3:
When a trade results in extra players being acquired, require owners to drop said extra players within 24 hours of deal being accepted. No trading will be allowed by that team until then. Owner has 24 hours to make drops before the trade is reversed and all players affected are returned to their original rosters.
