I think if the Pelicans replaced Cousins with Draymond they'd be a better team.

I agree, but I think that has more to do with fit, than talent. It would also move AD to center, which is probably his better position (although he doesn't like playing center).

A team anchored by Davis and Green would be elite defensively, even if you had mediocre perimeter defenders.

Advanced stats says Boogie > KAT
They do?

KAT averages as many points on lower usage, way higher TS% and eFG%.

KAT has way better per 100/Win shares/VORP or whatever basketball WAR-equivalent you prefer as well.

And, no, Boogie doesn't beat KAT in some "eye test." KAT is a better player.

I don't think he's top 10 fwiw. He has all world talent but is so undisciplined. The fact The he has lost a lot of weight makes me think he might* change the way he plays.

Once again, KAT is an awful defender. They are a wash offensively.

He went all in on the list last season, I'm sure things are different now!

They're not a wash offensively, though. KAT is significantly more efficient.

I'm interested in these "advanced stats" you referenced, though.

Were you just talking about dRtg?

I think it has a bit to do with playing for Sacramento and New Orleans, two desperate fan bases. But yea, he's in that Kyrie, Towns, etc class,

It's stat gawkers who don't realize he's been a cancer on the floor. No defense no effort poor, indifferent attitude

Towns is much, much more efficient than Cousins
That's true, no doubt.

I don't even know that, that statement is true. He's barely more efficient if you look at their points per shot (1.35 vs 1.39). Even their PER is 25.8 vs 25.9.

TS% is the difference between something like .560 and .610...there's a big gulf between the 2.

Lmfao at Draymond at 10. He isn't a top 50 player if you took him off of the Warriors nobody would even know his name. The NBA is a joke in every way.

Looks like he might be taking things seriously for once, no?

I am critical of the guy as well, but he is insanely talented. Maybe playing with Davis will bring a better attitude out of him. Maybe not. But, seeing him drop as much weight as he has is a good sign. He's in the best shape of his career. If the Pels are going to be good it will depend on how Boogie acts, no doubt.

Yea it looks like he is at least committed to improving his body. Let's see how he plays now. If he can change then I can rank him higher. But he's never won shite or has impacted his team positively like other superstars have done. He's gotten coaches fired numerous times too. This guy as it stands is not close to top 10 right now

Look at their free throw rate, though.

.468 vs .289

ETA: I was thinking eFG, rather than TS% which already takes into account free throws.

Their VORPs were equal, and Boogie had a much better BPM.

Even if he didn't touch the ball on offense, he's still a top 50 player because of his defensive value to a team.

The top 4 is set in stone atb. And pretty clear cut at each spot. After that it gets a little murky.

Lebron
Durant
Steph
James

Those are your top 4 in order. This is not up for debate.

I prob give Leonard the 5 spot, Russ 6, then chris will get the 7. Davis, 8. With These spots I can see some jockeying for position.
