Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview says hi
shite, Daniel Day-Lewis as anyone says hi. Also Heath Ledger as the Joker. Rourke was pretty awesome though. Definitely a top 5 performance over the last 20 years
Honorable mentions: Javier Bardem in No Country, Waltz in Inglorious Basterds

Good post. I do agree with these suggestions. Throw in JK Simmons in Whiplash too. He was freaking amazing in that movie.

eath Ledger as the Joker
While I love this role, I feel like it's gotten to the point that's blown up bigger than it really was. I don't want to say it's overrated because that's not the right word at all, but if Ledger was still around today, I don't feel like the people would be talking about this performance like they are and, in my opinion, The Joker character himself wouldn't be as popularized as it is now outside of the comic book fan realm.
