Now that ESPN has taken over XM College I had to listen to 5 minutes of how good she was and if I didn't like it I was a problem.
I don't stay up for that game and could care less if women do announcing.
Just curious what board thought. Is this a poliboard question?

Her voice sucked when she was doing MAC and big east football games...it still sucks now. Has nothing to do with her being a woman and everything to do with it sounding like nails on a chalkboard.

Why is it that a lot of the female broadcasters have husky (and I don't mean in a sexy way) voices? It just doesn't work in a broadcast booth. They just sound like dikey former softball players.

She sucked but probably was the best on on the broadcast team that night.

I don't find her as bad as most make her out to be.
She isn't great but there are and have been worse at calling games.

Part of commentating is letting the fans feel of what's going on a particular play i.e, big plays, big hits, turnovers. She doesn't have the voice for that.
People don't want to speak out against her bc she's a woman and that would appear to be anti progressive. But as a football announcer, she's not good at the job. She just happens to be a woman.

She was bad and Rex was probably worse. He had no idea when to start analysis of a play. There were quite a few awkward moments where neither would say anything for a few seconds.
