It's a new logo from 2 years ago. But manufacturers are allowed to finish their contacts and sell out existing inventory of old logos, so toonces is still around and so is the old tiger face. The old face was at just a slight angle, while the new one is looking straight out. Plus there are fewer color lines making it a better impact and easier to print.

Like it was said LSU has done a poor job at branding and enforcing it. The new logo is the cleaned up Tiger Head plus they use the Tiger Eye as well. You still however see the jumping toonces and the toonces head being used as well. Hell major tv networks and online media still use toonces even though that had not been our logo for a few years. LSU doesn't enforce its brand and make the networks use the correct logos. They even use toonces on consession stands in TS and other places around campus. LSU needs to clamp down and enforce its brand identity.

Agreed. Im baffled that LSU rebranded the tiger (cleaned up the old logo), but refused to use it everywhere, like we saw with toonces on the skyline club tables. Its bizzare.
It's been used extensively for the basketball program for a few years now (uniforms, center court, shooting shirts, etc). They are starting to bring it in more and more with the football marketing, but the "eye" is still the primary graphic logo associated with the football program.

Spoke with a friend in marketing and he said heads rolled because of that screwup.

Good to hear, that was embarrassing. (From a Branding/Marketing standpoint)

The larger issue is that we have multiple logos, tiger heads, tigers, and fonts. As a marketing/branding expert, I find this to be abhorrent.
