How is that possible? Do you not have a passcode on your phone?

Assuming "last legs" means physical wear and tear or battery life, you might look at the 6s or 7 if your usage of the phone is so simple that you don't even use TouchID. The 6s is $449 and the 7 is $549. The main difference besides the 7 being a generation newer/better is the 7 is water resistant. However, the 6s is the last iPhone with the headphone jack which matters to a lot of people.

I agree that they should have used USB-C charging, but, the USB C doesn't even fit in the lighting hole so there's no way it'll mess it up.

Seen a few hands on videos with Face Id. Whats to stop someone from taking the phone and pointing it at your face? At least with Touch ID, they had to have your finger.

what if you're working under your car or something and need your wife to look something up on your phone?

I thought you either used one type of security or another. Didn't realize both were active. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?

So, I need some advice.

Both the husband and I are eligible for an upgrade - I have a 6S that is paid for but the battery life is declining rapidly. Husband is finally going to relinquish his old arse 5.

We can't decide between the 7+ 128 GB for $769 or the 8+ 64GB for $799.

The $30 difference is negligible. He's been rocking a 32GB for years and barely has it a 1/3 full. He doesn't take very many pics and no videos and streams most music.

I have been using 64GB on this 6S and have around 20 GB free and I take a ton of pics, not many videos but I keep a good many songs on the phone (don't like to stream music).

Twice the storage for $30 less is attractive.

But I don't think I will use that much storage and I know he won't so are the features of the 8+ over the 7+ worth $30 more?

Do y'all think the 7+ price will go down even more come 8/8+ pre-order time?

Thanks for any advice y'all have!

I would get the 8 just for wireless charging.

This was my decision too, and I'm doing the 8+. I don't really need the storage.

If it was 100 dollar difference, I'd probably do the 7+. But I also want to be on the Apple upgrade program, which I think they're only doing for 8s, not 7s. When I worked out the numbers, it was probably a true wash doing Apple upgrade w/ the 8 (including AppleCare) vs. AT&T with the 7

I'm in the same boat.

I've been going back and forth between the X & the 8+ and settled on the 8+. The X just doesn't blow my skirt up enough to pay the difference and I've tried my best to avoid the first generation of an upgrade over the last decade. Will just upgrade next year when the Xs/11 comes out.

I dunno why but I laughed at this comment. Not for anything other than thinking how friggin great we have it in America/the civilized world.

Meanwhile, in North Korea, there's 500 dumbass women throwing themselves into a cold ocean and wailing about how great Kim Jong Un is today.
Yet here we are, contemplating how to spend our money and enjoy badass gadgets.

In short, ain't it great to be us!!

Reminds me of the Louis CK rant about how "Everything is amazing and nobody cares."
