9/10

They did Pennywise justice and made him as creepy as they possibly could without going camp.

Casting was phenomenal and the music was perfect.

I will go see this again.

The studder was not that bad. You totally forgot about it at times.

Just saw it. Why do black females never shut up during a movie. They were terrible.

The movie was good. I feel like watching all the trailers pretty much gave the whole movie away. The kids and music were great.

I agree. Don’t watch the previews. They give you an idea of what’s coming next in the movie.

Pretty damn good movie. I thought Pennywise was used sparingly enough to keep his creepy mystique. I know there were some comparisons before the movie - this was by no means Heath Ledger's Joker. That being said, Bill Skarsgard was still fantastic.

His "happy accident" makeup drooling really does add alot to his character as well. And the 80's references brought me back to my own childhood. I may have been the only one in the entire theater that got the Molly Ringwald reference.

Really enjoyed the movie. They really nailed the coming of age part with the kids. The Losers Club was perfectly cast and definitely got you to identify and sympathize with them. No complaints at all from me on this one. Well worth the time and money.

*spoilers*

Just got out, really loved the first 3/4 of the movie but thought it kind of stumbled in the sewer scene. Wish they wouldn't have changed the final cosmic battle involving a turtle with galaxies swimming in its fingernails for a bunch of kids beating the frick out of a clown with sticks but I'll take what I can get.

Just got out. Really well done. The kid who played Eddie was great. Only two scenes that I didn't care for. The rock throw scene and the dancing clown in the sewer

Was it just me or did the actress that plays Beverly remind you of a young Amy Adams.

Watched it tonight and loved it. There was actually a good bit of humor spread throughout the film but I think they nailed the characters perfectly. You could really feel the pain Bill had about Georgie's death. I can't wait to watch it again.

Just got home. I enjoyed it. The kid from Stranger Things nailed the Richie Tozier role. He had the whole theater laughing.
The other kids were good too.
Pennywise was creepy af. The way he talked was disturbing.
Tim Curry is still tGOAT Pennywise but Bill Skarsgard comes really close.

There were things I didn't like but most of it comes from me comparing the movie to the book. Lots of changes that I couldn't help but notice.

Overall I give it a 31 out of 33. Everyone go see it!

They treat going to the movies as a social event and have no idea wtf they are even watching.

As soon as she came in and sat down with her husband, we knew it was going to be a thing. (I was shocked that they were there before the previews started). She immediately got on the phone and started speaking in full voice to someone asking them for Bobo's address.

I gave her the benefit of the doubt during the previews, since that is a bit of a gray area, but had to outright shush her about 2/3 the way through the film. Nobody signs up for the Black Woman commentary track. Nobody.

It was comical at first, but got tiring after she began rapidly stomping her feet every time Pennywise would lunge after someone.

She'd chime in with a loud "MMMmh" at absolutely innocuous shots, like the first step Bill takes down to his basement. Adding insult to injury, she was apparently a questioner, "Why they keep being mean to that boy? Why they pick on him?" then she would try to comfort New Kid, "Oh that poor baby... It's gon'be awwright, Baby..."

The simple fact that I have so many distinct memories of her antics shows just how distracting the experience was.

Saw it last night and slept like a baby.

What that means is it's not "keep you up at night scary".

However, I thought the movie was great. The score was fantastic. The actors were really great and the kids had that Stranger Things chemistry. The jokes, while being cheesy, seemed honest and earned my laughter. Pennywise was well portrayed and was creepy as hell (especially in the first scene).

I totally agree that Bev looked like Amy Adams.

This movie is extremely rewatchable, despite its length...and if I was the same age I was when the original came out this movie would fuel my nightmares.
