Well, duh. If they'd wanted to prove that they'd have put Mayweather in a UFC match. The point of boxing isn't to see who could be a killer outside the ring. It's a sport with specific rules and scoring.

This fight just made me realize how boring boxing is compared to mma. And Conor put more hits on Mayweather than any pro in his last 3 fights combined. Call that strategy if you want but he still touched him up...with no boxing record.

People buy it because 10 buddies can get together on a Saturday night for $10 a piece and eat a have a few cocktails. There's not really anybody in the game right now, though, that seems really compelling. I'm interested to see how future "mega fights" will fair.
