How much money is involved in fantasy football

It's literally a billion dollar business at this point and Uncle Same wants his cut of it. They are trying to say it's gambling.

5,000 Monopoly dollars. If you play free parking with money in the center, then 6,000 Monopoly dollars.

I'd say it is gambling but the government needs to piss off

Well, what makes it different than playing blackjack, texas hold'em or 5 card stud? All involve a bit of skill and a lot of luck.

Not that I feel it should be taxed, but I mean it passes the litmus test for gambling.

As for the OP's question, Forbes had an article 4 years ago calling it a $70 billion business (all fantasy sports, and includes advertising). About $11 billion annually just in terms of league dues for football.
