Started with the oysters. Were very light compared to the traditional charbroiled NOlA oyster, which I liked as it wasn't filling and didn't hide the oyster taste

For mains, I got the pork vindaloo and my wife got the tuna chaat

The pork was very tendor and had a great Indian taste. My wife loved her bowl. She said it reminded her of an Indian version of poke loa

The beer menu was solid. I got a maharaja double IPA

Atmosphere was "chic", typical of magazine street

My boy loved the garlic naan

With descriptions like that it's as if I'm tasting the food myself.

It had a distinct flavor profile as if it was from the banks of the Ganges. The hints of ginger and Goan curry tickled my tongue as the basmati rice soothed my palate

Serious, do some of y'all have to sit on a giant dildo in order for your computer to work? Similar to this?

Just a slight step above "Indian flavors"

There was a reason I said that. This place is a fusion restaurant. Some of the dishes have no Indian flavor profile at all. Hence, why I pointed out the Vindaloo did.

The Tuna Chaat my wife got was not indian at all, which she loved. The oysters were a great mix of indian/nola.

The other thing my wife loved is the place doesnt smell like a curry bomb like a typical indian restaurant. When you leave your clothes have no smell at all.

So it tasted like cremated bodies and feces?

How long did it take for your vindoloo to make it to table?
Also chaat is a very good idea for fusion food. It's my favourite evening snack while i was in India. Hit the chaat and eat dinner like i never ate anything. We eat dinner at 10 anyways
