Did anyone notice how a few time people were apparently whispering that Myles has been good enough to start. When are they supposed to name a starter? Do you think O has the balls to start a True Freshman over a Redshirt Senior?
First post so be nice...

They will officially announce this week..

I think unless Myles is separating himself already, Danny starts. From the way it sounds though, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Brenna week one if Etling either struggles or we take control of the game. It sounds like they really like Brennan.

Remember that time CEO shocked the world and said Narcisse was right behind Etling and didn't mention Brennan?
I guess we will will all find out in due time.

Not sure why O is waiting to announce Etling as the starter. It's not like everybody has been getting the same amount of reps with the 1st team.

This race isn't as close as O is leaving us to believe.

No way you throw a true fr out there against BYU on that stage
Etling has proven his worth in SEC comp and he is healthy.

A player can be talented enough at QB, but that doesn't mean he's ready.
All reports leaking out of camp indicate that we have a good one, and we should all be happy with that.
We all should be happy that our new OC and QB has done this a time or two and if Myles is our best shot, I am confident that he will play.

Who are these "time people" you speak of?

I think Narcisse will play before Brennan. It's pretty obvious from the post-scrimmage pressers that they have goal line packages just for Narcisse.

only way we see brennan is if etling has a complete meltdown. i am talking jarrett lee circa 2008.

Etling will start game 1 against BYU. That's 100% certainty barring injury.

Outside the Bama game, Etling proved to be a capable starter. He didn't do anything outstanding, but he didn't lose games either. 2 of his 3 losses, he drove his team for the game winning score. Versus Auburn he threw the GW TD until it was determined the snap was 1/10 of a second late. Versus Florida he drove the team to the goal line and a gaffe by Guice prevented us from walking away with a win. He will be given every opportunity to keep his job this season and Brennan et al. will be developed throughout the season and get occasional reps. If it is determined that he is struggling the decision to change will be made down the road.

I think most sane people realize Etling is the starter vs BYU.
Ideally, I'd like to see Etling start the season and perform well. Brennan be given some meaningful snaps early in the season while Tigers have a lead, and if Narcisse is healthy enough...have a package of plays for him too (seems like goal line packages).
Then '18 will have a Brennan/Narcisse combo with Brennan likely being the starter.
I'm not opposed to a RS for Narcisse, but his size/running ability may be too valuable not to use this year.
