So in short, we have idiots steering the captain's wheel on these ships.

No other explanation really. 10 people were aware of it, tracking it, researching its specs, calculating closest the point of approach, and making decisions on course changes well before it was even close. They still hit it

Imagine that Austin powers scene where the guys gets run over by the bulldozer

No additional tech or instructions would have prevented this, minus self correcting auto steering which could cause its own problems. Just have to have competent watch standards, or not just lazily sign off on training that never really took place to increase the number of qualified watch standers so you can get more sleep

The penetration and damage was definitely severe and deep.

I just don't understand how this happens. I've had zero training and I've never ran into another boat, with much less tech. Just don't hit it. It's like getting hit by a train.

They are phasing in and out of this dimension with the early perfecting of the Philadelphia Experiment. Other ships can't see them. Boom.

I think it's named after maverick's dad.

It is named for his father and grandfather, both admirals in WWII-grandfather an aircraft carrier task force commander and father a submarine commander and also US Pacific Command.

You don't get those positions by being a dumbass and regardless of whether anyone agrees on the grandson/son's politics there is no doubting his and his family's commitment and legacy to the United States Navy. That in itself should be respected and people that don't really have any idea what these men and him specifically gave for this country.

I'd be willing to bet there aren't a lot of POW's posting on the OT.

He was confused. He was tortured and stuff! Can't believe we named a ship for a loser. He didn't complete his mission! Period! Hero?
Endures confinement and torture, apparently, without revealing top secrets, so he says That is your duty under the UCMJ, not your honor.Thousands more did with no political or Hollywood proclaim
This guy is a cog in the huge globalist wheel. One more cog that needs broken

How do 10 crewmembers become lost in a collision such as this?
Is there crew stationed on deck and get thrown overboard as a result of the force from the collision?
