There would be no easier city in Europe to slaughter the infidel in mass numbers . That said, there are 4 man anti - terrorist teams with automatic weapons with their finger on the trigger all over the place. It shouldn't take long to catch up to the perp .

Reuters reporting two armed men entered restaurant (could be responders i guess). But the crash/gunfight scenario is a bad one for European cities generally, surprised it hasn't been used more

Plaza Catalunya - north side - entrance to Las Ramblas - literally the most obvious spot . Thousands of tourists there at any given moment . Security is VERY heavy at that choke point. Easy to run down an ally.
