I hope you beat this as long as you are able. I hope you die, but to something mundane like a parachute failure when you're 97. PC is a motherfricker, but it takes a cussed, hard, driven person to beat it.
I've been following your ordeal and I hope that you are a cussed, hard, driven person.
Kick its arse, seabass. Don't let your pancreas tell you what's what.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen and Amen
I have a cousin who is 5 years post PC surgery in Birmingham. He keeps plugging away. He was out n a deer stand with his grandson last weekend. That is my prayer for you. That you stay strong.

Been through surgery, bone marrow transplant, and inpatient chemo.
I am not going to lie there are days that suck, and times that the news you get is not encouraging.
Then those days will go away, you will have a lot more good days, and 15 yrs later you will barely remember this.
I am not going to sugar coat it the chemo will be hard the first few rounds as they are adjusting meds to handle the side effects. Once you get through that part of the chemo you will have a lot of good days with maybe a day or two where you feel tired.
You made it this far good luck.

I had a whipple 5 years ago this month. What a beast of a surgery. I think I was in the hospital for about two weeks, only to go back two times due to fever. My cancer was on my small intestine just outside of the pancreas. So far, so good, now 5 years out. I had two drains from my abdomen after surgery for almost two months, so my chemo was delayed until March or April. (you would think I would remember specific dates and such, but 2013 was just a blur). I did Chemo for 6 months after the drains were removed. I did the infusion on a Monday (I called it getting my drip on), then on pills for two weeks, off a week the did the routine all over again. I ended up loosing almost 50lbs. The said after the whipple you will eat more, smaller meals, however I feel like after the chemo, my meals are just the same (as evidenced by the fact I am now heavier than I was pre surgery, which was not the plan :)
You know what the chemo is like, it sounds like. I have an idea of what you are going through, so hang in there, there is light at the end of that long tunnel.
I am pulling for you.
Edit: my apologies, I did not really look at the date of the original post I responded to, I thought this was more recent, thus my long posting, but I see it looks like things are well, happy to read that.
