These NFL guys trying to make rosters are going to hit you like a freight train. I don't think Dupre is ready for that type of physical play just yet. Should've stayed one more year.

What a pos thing to say. No one is designed to take a hit to the head like that. Get over yourself.

he launched himself with his arms pinned to his side. Didn't even try to wrap up.

You're an idiot.

Because it is time to grow up and stop accepting these kind of hits as "just part of the game." I love college football and I want the game to prosper, so this kind of shite has to end. That hit should be an automatic ejection and suspension. It has no longer an acceptable part of the game.

Nothing really wrong with that hit. Receiver was a runner at that point. He was not a defenseless receiver. Both guys lowered heads/shoulders in the act of tackling/ absorbing the tackle. Just in a bad spot.

The problem is, young punks these days don't know how to tackle, so they launch themselves and spear people with their helmets. Back in my day they weren't afraid to make a real tackle. You sound like a young punk millennial

Hey dude, forget about it. Trust me. According to these people, the defender should be banned from football and thrown in jail. Forget that a flag wasnt even thrown. It was basically a criminal act, in other countries smthg like this is punishable by death. What a horrible human

Looks something like the hit on Steven Ridley as a running back a few years ago where he was knocked out.

Malachi had become a runner here and lowered his head and shoulders as well as the defender.

Why do you knuckleheads keep repeating this like it has any relevance? He launched himself with his arms lowered, leading with his crown. This has been illegal for a long time.

You're either trolling, or you don't watch football.

The tackler literally launched himself with his arms completely to his sides, and torpedoed into Dupre leading with the crown of his helmet. He didn't even attempt to fake like he was trying to wrap up.

You don't see anything wrong with that?

The game is played at tremendous speeds. Helmets clash all of the time. I absolutely can't say that the defender was trying to "launch" himself and lead with the crown. It's a lot more likely that he was trying to get across Malachi's body and just didn't get there.

That looks like a normal football play to me. I'm basing this only on the one video posted in the OP. Maybe there is another angle that would change my mind. But, when a player has a ball in his hands and he's a runner, he needs to protect himself.

Or we are just not giant fricking assholes. Players are literally suffering brain damage and you are like its fine, just the way the game is played. You are like someone bitching about seat belts being installed in cars or children being prevented from working in factories.

holy frick.

the rule is for the player doing the hitting as well because he can break his neck. There are a lot of soft arse rules to complain about with the NFL, but the rule of launching/spearing/leading with the crown is not one of them.

They teach you not to do this shite in pee wee fricking football.
