Wonder why Manafort didn't just have Crowdstrike search his house and then tell the FBI there was nothing there? That works , right?
Or how about did he make a deal with the FBI where they could examine his records but had to destroy them as soon as they looked at them?

Because they're the FBI. We're members of the public and don't need to have details disclosed to us at this time. We'll find out when the investigation concludes. The public simply isn't important enough to warrant giving away key details at this time.

Why? This shouldn't be a surprise. There is absolutely no scenario where the FBI doesn't go through the records of an individual being investigated..... unless you are the DNC, of course. Then they just politely ask for your server, without making you actually hand it over.
