Overwhelming negative coverage tends to happen when there's overwhelming incompetence being shown on a day to day basis.

Going out on a limb here, but when you are looking to establish a relationship with the media, perhaps it is not a good idea to invite them to a meeting where you just tear into them for an hour. Then proceed to mock and attack them every day until your inauguration.

18 months ago, everyone in the MSM was laughing at Donald Trump. They were all saying, "There is zero percent chance that Donald Trump will be elected President of the United States."

They said this right up until the election. When Donald Trump won, they had to eat crow. Everything the mainstream media has been doing since then has been to prove that he shouldn't be the POTUS and that their assessment of him was correct. They are not interested in seeing him succeed or even do the best job given the limitations they say he has. They want to see him fail spectacularly.

The powers that be had a vision of post-Obama America, Trump is not that. Plus, he hits them back.

Well when well over 90% of the press falls under one particular ideology, they are going to be overwhelmingly negative when someone who does not follow their ideology sits in the oval office.

It's really not all that surprising. What is surprising and sad is that so much of the populace still thinks the press is objective or "neutral" in its coverage. Just look at the proggies on this board and their reaction.

If coach Ogeron has a terrible season as LSU coach next season and gets blasted by the press, will you blame that on the press?

If someone could explain why 7 months into his administration he has very few of his people in office I'd be happy to hear it.

This is just one example. And you guys blame the media for this? Trump just seems like a terrible boss and manager. Totally erratic and disorganized and not folloing flow charts. I'm sorry you can't blame the media for his mistakes.

He is news.
He is the central figure of the alt-right cult.

Once he bragged he grabbed pussy, and then claimed it was just a lie ("just locker room talk" ie not truth about him), then everything he says or does is under microscope.
Spicer is gone for the crime of atttempting to make sense of this wh.

70% of the Wall Street Journal Trump articles are negative.

Based on that, what do you think the ratio should be for a neutral, non-biased media outlet?

What, about 80% ?
