Just got through an inspection checkpoint, how are these constitutional again?

State Police were stopping every vehicle making sure registration and inspection were valid/up to date.
My understanding is that they need reasonable suspicion to stop someone like that. I was courteous, rolled down my window, and showed registration with inspection sticker visible.
On my way home it rubbed me the wrong way how they were stopping every vehicle presumably to raise some revenue. How are these constitutional again?
Yeah I know, CSB. #taxedenoughalready

Driving is a privilege, not a right.
Constitution protects rights.

What abut being free from temporary detention without cause? Is that a right too?

You mean people that don't like to see their constitutional rights trampled by the government?
Yeah, those people are awful!

Just protecting the population from uninspected cars. Wish they would do that here in Houston. The number of "immigrant" junk cars on the road here is a dangerous thing.

Do us favor ... where was this checkpoint?
Even when I have nothing to worry about I hate checkpoints.

He was traveling. Is traveling not a right protected under the constitution?

Eh I'm okay with them getting fricks with no inspection / registration / insurance off the road.
I've never really considered this a problem because I've been white-manning my whole life.
