The government wouldn't let them remove their child from the hospital. There was never a good reason other than the treatment was a long shot and the government didn't want to prolong any potential suffering. Keep in mind, under socialist medicine, the government owns you and your children.
Trump, the leader of the most powerful country in the world, wanted Charlie here.
The U.S. Congress voted to grant Charlie permanent U.S. residence.
The internet raised about $1.75 million to pay for his treatment.
A doctor in the U.S. agreed to admit Charlie and treat him.
The Pope said that Charlie should be allowed to be treated in the U.S.
But the socialist healthcare system of the UK said no, so that was that. A child must die to glorify socialism.
Reading it listed out like this is absolutely disgusting, and you have a large number of idiots in this country that want this system.

The pope was silent on this until one of his Cardinals stated that the boy should die in the UK, that the parents basically need to get with the program. Then due to public outrage, the pope had to issue something to the contrary.

The child had a zero chance of survival. You paint it like if he made it to the US, he would have a healthy happy life.

First, the only reason he had a zero chance was the shittty UK system. He had more than zero if the shitty UK system wasn't in place.
Second, how is it of any concern to you what that family decided to do with private funds to try to treat their child? Give me a single good reason for it to have played out the way it did.

Well, based on medical experts, he wasn't surviving. It is a very difficult situation.

Way to dodge the question.

Because if there is no way to give him a healthy life, it would be just as cruel to move him, and allow someone to play Dr on him. Just keeping him alive on a ventilator is just as bad.

You don't fricking know that. The only sure way of not fixing it was doing what they did.

Who the frick are you to make that decision for someone else?

By the time litigation and red tape had played out for five months and the US Dr was able to see and evaluate him. Saying definitively that in a shorter 2-3 month window when everything was in place that progression would have been to that point is unfair and unsubstantiated. The UK government and single payer system is culpable here, and stating that giving the government control over one's healthcare and life isn't dangerous would be a difficult stance to take for any supporter of the single payer system.

I hope this go Biblical on these court members. First born of everyone involved in this dies a horrible death and that person has to watch there child suffer.

Yup

Because medical experts stated it numerous times. People just choose to ignore it. There was no indication medical treatment would help his condition.

Insurance companies refuse treatment in the US after a certain point. This isn't an uncommon practice here either.

Again, give me an actual reason that the family shouldn't be allowed to use private funds to try to save their child.

Completely irrelevant considering the treatment was funded privately.

Your next healthcare system if you don't rise up.

That's how healthcare works in that county
