Take the L when they end up agreeing with me?

Thanks, appreciate the confirmation!!!
Buckeye summed it up best with your early posts before you clarified:
quote:
He's making a comparison to support his argument, while agreeing with the comparison's flaw, while trying to dismiss that the flaw is important, even though he seems to also agree it's important.

The explanation does much to exonerate Weagle. Successful point clarification upheld by peers goes far.
However, initial obfuscation of said point means that the L is valid and must be worn by Weagle.
I argue that the "L," be reduced to a lower case "l," though. The punishment must fit the crime.

You should still be able to comprehend the fact that it could be lower. I'm not trying to convince you that it is lower. I think it is but i can't prove it.
You are trying to prove you're own point but you want me to use my imagination to validate your point for you? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
quote:
But just the fact that it could be lower destroys the idea that I was ever arguing Kobe = Kyrie which you repeated for some unknown fricking reason.
Because you have consistently compared their situation and used them in an apples to apples comparison
Kyrie is not an apple to kobe apple. So you cannot compare them, not on or off the court.
quote:
Y'all had to use arse backwards logic to come up with him not fitting the criteria. He fits it.
Kobe has never been in a Knicks level dysfunctional organization until the tail end of his career. He doesn't fit that at all, he had only missed the playoffs once before that
quote:
Your whole problem is you think it's absolutely impossible that threshold is anywhere below Kobe's level. Therefore you see statements as contradictory when they're not if you're open to the idea of it being lower. Which is what I've been telling you for at least 3 pages now. Quit being like shel and just jumping on other people backs thinking it proves your point. 3-4 idiots can come to the same conclusion and still be wrong.
I never said there isn't a level below Kobes level. I've simply stated that Kyrie isn't on Kobes level so using kobe as an examole does absolutely nothing to prove your argument

I still don't understand why I would take the L when I'm right.
He summed it up best with a post that clearly doesn't comprehend the argument? That doesn't make any sense

Correct. Just because you are the only one who believes it doesn't make you wrong. There's other reasons why you would be wrong. You should put out the other reasons because the fact that your the only one that believes it proves nothing.
Posted on 7/28/17 at 12:41 pm to Weagle25
So the reason everyone else is wrong and you are right is because we can't use our imagination properly to see the situation in the same way that you do?

You should be able to conceptualize an idea that is not your own. Yes that's what I'm asking you to do. It's what intelligent people are able to do.
Once you conceptualize it, then you understand where the other person is arguing from.
quote:
Because you have consistently compared their situation and used them in an apples to apples comparison
Kyrie is not an apple to kobe apple. So you cannot compare them, not on or off the court.
You can compare things that aren't exactly the same. Every single comparison ever has a flaw. I've recognized the flaw in that comparison and openly acknowledged it yet you keep thinking I'm arguing the flaw when I'm not.
quote:
Kobe has never been in a Knicks level dysfunctional organization until the tail end of his career. He doesn't fit that at all, he had only missed the playoffs once before that
So now we're changing the criteria.
quote:

I can't keep explaining this over and over.

The reason I haven't been proven wrong (besides me being right) is because the only justification you've provided is "everyone agrees with me and not you". Everything else you've provided is arguing something that I've clearly said many times that I'm not arguing.
Btw you don't have to use my imagination, you just have to recognize an idea that you don't think is possible. Once you recognize it, then you will understand why my argument is not contradictory. You may still not agree with it, and that would be fine with me. That's how arguments are supposed to work

I think TBird makes maybe the 5th person now to talk about how poorly you communicated your original point. I don't think he was one of the 3-4 early on I keep referencing.

You are asking me to do your homework. And calling me unintelligent because you can't communicate and back up YOUR opinion. That's a huge argumentative fallacy.
quote:
You can compare things that aren't exactly the same. Every single comparison ever has a flaw. I've recognized the flaw in that comparison and openly acknowledged it yet you keep thinking I'm arguing the flaw when I'm not.
You are saying they are not comparable yet using the result of comparing them as equals as proof of your argument. You are simply taking the parts of the comparison you like and using those while ignoring th aspects of the comparison that prove your argument irrelevant. That is the definiton of contradiction.
quote:
So now we're changing the criteria.
No we never changed the criteria. You chose kobe to compare him to and that situation is not the same as Kyries potiential situation with the Knicks nor is his star level anywhere near Kobes. The criteria is the same but the criteria doesn't make any sense as plenty of people have pointed out to you.
quote:
I can't keep explaining this over and over.
At some point you have to start blaming your self instead of everyone else.

I'm not asking you to do any work besides comprehend an idea
quote:
And calling me unintelligent because you can't communicate and back up YOUR opinion.
First of all I never called you unintelligent. You were acting like it was lunacy for me to ask you conceptualize an idea.
I'm not even asking you to agree with my opinion. I'm trying to get you to understand where my argument is coming from which apparently is useless. Ever since we've established that there is a threshold for immunity, I've chalked the rest up to difference of opinion.
quote:
You are saying they are not comparable
Again. Reading comprehension. I never said that. Just because there's a flaw in the comparison doesn't mean they aren't comparable. Like I said, every single comparison ever has a flaw. Doesn't mean it's not useful.
quote:
You are simply taking the parts of the comparison you like and using those while ignoring th aspects of the comparison that prove your argument irrelevant.
I'm not ignoring them. IVE OPENLY RECOGNIZED THE PARTS THAT DO NOT SUPPORT MY ARGUMENT MANY TIMES. I do not feel they out weigh the parts that do support my argument. You feel differently. It's a difference of opinion. Not a contradiction.

There's only been one person to argue this aspect and you didn't even argue it. The criteria has been and still is when was Kobe on a bad team. He's been on more than one bad team.
quote:
At some point you have to start blaming your self instead of everyone else.
On this one I'm only blaming you. Everybody else has come to understand it

The argument isnt whether I communicated clearly or not.

Correct, it's not the crux of the argument.
It is, however, a mitigating factor, IMHO.
