Kyrie Irving "very badly wants to be a New York Knick," ESPN's Pablo Torre reported on "First Take" Thursday. "Kyrie Irving wants to come home." Irving, who grew up in West Orange, N.J., recently requested a trade from the Cavaliers and according to reports listed the Knicks as one of his four preferred destinations. The four-time All-Star also included San Antonio, Miami and Minnesota.

The obvious move would be to trade Carmelo Anthony and a few first round picks for a bona-fide superstar. However, a source close to Anthony said late Friday that the All Star forward is focused on getting a deal done with Houston.

Well maybe he should start taking their phone calls first. Kyrie is not really giving them any reason for them to appease his demands.

Cavs get:
Trevor Ariza
K. Porzingis

Knicks get:
Kyrie Irving
Ryan Anderson

Houston get:
Carmelo Anthony

Trade is successful.... not sure if you got to throw picks in there to even anything out.

A player like Kyrie would do very well in New York.

A player like Kyrie can do well off the court anywhere in the country.

Ask Melo whats it's like paying for the check and playing for that organization.

Doing well in Cleveland vs doing well in New York is not exactly the same.

Whenever you're playing on a loaded team, it's much closer to the same.
