So.. 200% is just "a little more". Great to know.

If he was paying $10 a month before, and is now paying $20 a month (remember, he claims he's 25)...then yes. A little more.

Your stupid and uninformed comment just took away all of your credibility. Nice try, thanks for playing.

CMS, run by Secretary Price, put out a report just last month saying the individual markets were inherently stable, save for some Republican sabotage.

It's not my fault that your news sources lie to you.

You love that phrase. It's horsecrap, and you know it, but you love to throw it out there. I guess you think that someone here is probably just stupid enough to believe you.

are you suggesting that without the ACA, my rates would have gone up 500% in that time?

i understand i'd be paying more, but 500% over 10 years sounds a bit more than the rates of premium increases that were occurring prior to the ACA

I'm suggesting that for comparable care they would have gone up more than 500%.

If your start point for that 500% increase is pre-ACA regulations, then as you know it's not an apples to apples comparison.

Well I don't have the luxury of having both of my parents alive. So there's that. Plus even if they were alive I wouldn't stay on their insurance. At 25 you should be a grown man.

In both instances then, you are talking about government. Who is the government and where do they get the money?

And being self employed sucks as well. Last year I paid $700 a month for my wife and I. This year it jumped up to $890 a month with a $6000 deductible. Be honest this bill just sucks for some people.

Well stated. I have seldom if ever met a person in real life that stated that they desire to pay even more in taxes to finance the lives of those who do not.
