The most notable difference — and the one that will get people to pay for Amazon Music Unlimited — is the number of songs available. Prime Music gives you access to around two million songs. This sounds like a lot, but pales into insignificance when compared to Spotify’s 30 million songs. However, Music Unlimited provides “tens of millions” of songs.

Prime Music gives you about 2 million songs, it's actually got a pretty good catalog if you don't need the top brand new hits. Amazon Music Unlimited has tens of millions of songs. If you already have Prime and consider that a sunk cost, it's actually cheaper than the other paid music services for an individual.

I don't know how good Unlimited is, but I've noticed my Prime music cloud library has shrunk substantially since its launch, and I'm not too thrilled about it....

Alexa pisses me off when she tells me I need to upgrade to hear a song I ask for. I usually just tell her to connect to my phone and then jump to spotify.
