I lived in Katy Texas for a while, played in a similar stadium for two years. While cool, and props to TX for having their shite together, it also creates an amazingly entitled group of people who think their shite don't stink. They buckle when faced with adversity outside of their bubbles in pleasantville suburbia.

Why, because they do shite the right way?

48 million for a HS stadium that will be shite in 20 years isn't necessarily the right way

Those aren't stadiums, they are educational support centers. Get your terminology straight. (Fake news).

and not only do they not fill them up, we get to maintain them as if they were about to get the next Super Bowl, give me the old State Fair Stadium, Captain Shreve, Bearkat, Viking, etc.,(didn't care for Booker T. that much)

They should hire an out of state Geotech for this project.

Corrupt politicians that allowed all of that money to go to Texas instead of staying and growing here.... frick you... Sincerely LA

In fairness, that is an insane amount of credit to give them. There's no telling where some of those transplants come from.

Ehh, they voted on it and paid the taxes. Getting to control how your tax money is spent must be nice.

TX has some fricked up politics, Louisiana by no means has that market cornered, former gov, current energy secretary for Trump still under felony indictment, as is the current AG, the Gubner has his own profiteering shady past, Ag secretary fancies himself as a cowboy, busted for using state money for his rodeo outings...and on and on

Well, having been born n raised in BR, and moving here to TX in 06, I'd say the govt money here doesn't disappear into mysterious holes like it does in LA.
So they have money for things like roads and schools.
