It just seems weird to say dad, but people are starting to look at me funny.

My 10 yr old girls still do. I never remember calling my dad daddy. Maybe I did when I was a toddler

Im older than 50, and my daddy left us March 29. I called him daddy up until March 28.

Still do.

He was a great daddy too.

My parents were fine with it. We are a very informal family.

My friends used to leave my house and try to call their parents by their names and got shut down FAST

My sis still calls him daddy and she's 24. Me and my brothers call him Pops or Pappy.

It depends on your gender or your gender identification. If you are a female or identify as a female it is ok for life.

If you are male or identify as male, you should not use it after about ages 4-5.

I am 50 and still call my father Daddy and my mother Mama. I will continue to do that until either they pass away or I do whichever comes first.
