Any experiences with straight talk wireless?

I know this could go on the Tech Board but I think it fits here as well. I'm currently paying $180 for two smartphones and a old school flip phone for the kids with Verizon. We share 6 GB and we use about 5 GB of it each month.
Supposedly, straight talk wireless will allow you to use the exact same Verizon towers for $45 per line with unlimited talk and data with 8 GB for each line. The rep says after taxes my bill will be exactly $49.16 per line. Even after upgrading the kids' line to a smart phone, I'm still saving $30. Since Verizon did away with their two year upgrade renewal contract and make you purchase $700 phones through them that you could get for $570 on Amazon, I've been looking elsewhere.
Anyone have any good or bad experiences with straight talk wireless? The deal seems crazy good, though I'd like to get others' experiences.

I have AT&T. And I've never had problem with them.

Unfortunately they have a strict no gays allowed policy.
That's what you get for posting this on the OT.

Straight Talk works great, just don't count on speaking to someone who comprehends English, if you have to call customer service.

I have straight talk... uses Verizon, att&t, and T-Mobile towers I think... love it. It's 45 a month.. Bill after taxes and such is like 50 dollars and change... unlimited talk, text, and 8 gigs of data. No contract... if you sign up for automatic pay I think they drop a dollar... you can pay for a year and they'll drop a whole month.
Switched for the same type reasons... wanted a new phone and att&t wasn't making sense anymore.
Went to walmart and bought a new Samsung galaxy, signed up for straight talk, no complaints so far....

All of this. Great coverage all over the country, even in rural areas, but if you ever call customer service your phone will never work right again. The most aggravating part to me was that they are obviously reading canned responses off of a card so you're not actually having a conversation. By far the worst customer service dept that I have ever dealt with.

I've used Straight talk for years without issue. There's no way in hell I'd go back to AT&T now. I had the, for years and every moth my bill would be 10 bucks higher than it was supposed to be and I got tired of calling every month.
I can't find a reason to do anything but use them.
