Is here a big vote coming up, is this a push back on Cox, or what?

I still don't know how I should feel about the subject.

Do you want site blocking, throttling, etc...?

Do you want internet communism or the freedom that you have come to love?

Do you want ISPs to decide that you have to pay for the "Twitch Channel" or want them to just decide to block Twitch for their own gamer type service?

ok that does suck. Normally I am for letting competition set the market except ISP's are basically cable companies and we know how great those work out.

Apparently it's supposed to be something like this but I haven't determined if this specific photo is just some fear mongering ploy.

It's this.

WRONG. ISPs have ALREADY been caught throttling and been fined for it. That is why we have the Net Neutrality laws that we currently have.

That is definitely propaganda, but its entirely possible that is what could actually happen.

Comcast was caught throttling netflix while they were in the middle of negotiations. Comcast did this to force netflix into agreeing to their terms.

That's what I figured. Saw it on the front page of reddit for the "Day of Action" stuff yesterday.

Tigerdroppings seems to have hundreds of anti-reddit posters. Yesterday they were all using this propoganda as a defense against net neutrality and claiming that this is all a big reddit conspiracy. Excpet that just about every website you would visit yesterday had the same message to their users up. Alot of the pictures you see posted are fake, but they're not wrong. It is an example of how something we've all taken for granted could become.

if repealing net neutrality means all the libcucks will get off my favorite sites and games, because they don't want to pay $2 for it, then sign me up.

Look at what cable tv packages have become. Cord cutting has lead the cable companies to search for alternative ways to make up for that loss in revenue -> the internet. Those pictures are something that could become a reality.
Net neutrality protects the consumer in a market where you have little to no choice in a provider.

Yeah I figured it was all fear mongering. Too bad there's really no non biased voice for all this net neutrality stuff from what I've seen so far.

Real world small example:
Verizon, unlimited data is you use their go90 streaming app
Data caps if you use Netflix or Youtube
This is already happening, and by the company that is the loudest on: "WE WILL TOTALLY NOT DO ANYTHING IF NN GOES AWAY!!"

I'm torn as well... but when it comes to government regulations or the most corrupt companies in America having whatever they want... I'm probably going to side with government regulations this one time

That's me, too. Wait until your ISP starts throttling your favorite streaming sites in order to promote their own.
That picture posted earlier in the thread is fake, but it gives you an idea of what WILL be coming. You think those companies aren't going to try to squeeze a little more money out of your arse? Good luck with that.
