The counterpoint of course is if that had actually happened, the conservatives would be losing their minds. Neither side has much self-awareness.

Appointing kin to a position in government is not the same today as 50 years ago?
That's like saying nighttime isn't the same degree of darkness as fifty years ago.
Time does not change word definitions my friend.

We'll never have to find out because that bitch isn't ever going to be in those shoes

You probably weren't politically aware in 1993. But Hillary was writing healthcare policy then. And the right lost its mind. And the left informed the right that they were sexist and out of touch. So, tit for tat. Welcome back to 1993.

To be fair if any president asked their kid to do anything official I'd have an issue with it. I didn't vote for their kids or wife, I voted for them.
In case you aren't aware it is common for leaders to have someone sit for them when they go into meetings elsewhere.
Whoever would have done this would have been someone you did not elect/vote for regardless of whether it was his kid. So your point isn't really valid in this situation.

As long as you admit both are wrong. I'll allow it

There are 435 members of the House and you only get to vote for one of them.
You didn't vote for the various heads of federal agencies or any member of the Supreme court.
Let's face it, we are ruled by people we didn't put in charge.

Yeah, naming your brother attorney general is much worse than having your daughter sit down while you take a leak

True but blood is thicker than water and it's a conflict of interests. You know that.

Liberals love administrative law agencies. unelected policy makers. Going to be tough to square that with "I didn't vote for ivanka"

Yeah, actually I was

True, but traditionally it's someone a little higher up the chain. In foreign meetings, the Sec of State, NSA advisor, ambassador, etc.
This isn't as big of a deal as liberals are making it, but a little bit bigger of a deal than conservatives are making it. Par for the course.

Again, what does that have to do with 2017? It's not like I was working on the Kennedy campaign. Deflect a little more.

Although I wish he would lose his phone, I can remember Hilary Clinton essentially framing the Universal Healthcare Act back in 1993 and she held no official capacity with our government other being married to the President. So, he's not wrong, but damn!

He should tweet back at her and ask if she's ever met Web Hubble.
That would keep the media busy for about a year.
