On the flip side the people that have to put down other areas in these threads to justify how great their city is probably aren't happy. It's pretty much the same ones in every thread

It's always the same posters that live in Alaska, Arizona, Massachusetts, Texas that come into these threads to do this. It's pretty pathetic

Because it's home. I love to travel and I've been all over. But I'm always happy to get back home.

Live where you are happy. It's just so subjective.

My parents are in their 70s now and it's nice to be close to them. It's invaluable to me that my girls get to see their grandparents all of the time. I couldn't care less about malls and Top Golf. However, I would like to live in a place with four seasons at some point again in my life.

I couldn't tell you. I don't really get into bashing what goes on in other places I don't live. I worry about myself and I surely don't frequent college messages boards that are based thousands of miles from where I live just to shite on those states to make myself feel better about where I choose to live.

But to each his/her own.

I'm in a fricked up position. I have a great job that pays me more than I knew my line of worked paid. I got a 50% raise from what I made in Denver, in an area where first of living is 1/3 less.

Yet I still can't stop thinking about New Orleans. It goes against all logic. I'd probably take a paycut of about $30-40k if I moved back, more if I tried to get a steady government job. But I still want to go back. As a musician, there really isn't anything like Nola. And as someone that loves to play jazz and funk, that city is the perfect storm.

The best way I can explain it, is it has me hooked like heroin. I know it's bad for me, there's a chance it will kill me. But I still want it, and can't stop thinking about it.

Oh I'll just go ahead and let you know the Massachusetts one is referring to me.

Funny part is, if you look at my posts in this thread, you won't find a single negative word about LA.

Arizona is nurse.

Don't know Alaska.

Texas could be any of dozens.

LINK

Zillow has Watson area schools ranked 9, 8, & 8 for Elementary, Middle School and High School. Not to mention Louisiana has some of the best hunting and fishing anywhere.

Roger always comments on these threads and I don't think of him as a regular LA basher. He definitely doesn't seem to like the South much if I remember correctly but to each their own.

Abita brags about MA sometimes but he's usually pretty reasonable about it. I hate the Northeast and I think we've argued about it before.

Some of the Louisiana to Texas transplants are pretty annoying about it though

Some people on here get riled up so easily, it's hard to pass up the chance.

I'm renting space in LNCHBOX's head currently, but prices are so low right now I may take the plunge and just buy.
