Walk through the mall on a Saturday and see all the fat people around you and you're one of few in shape. Feels pretty good to me knowing that I like to take care of my body. I'd hate to be fat to be honest.

Quite frankly, I feel better when I workout consistently. I have more energy. Rest days drive me crazy right now.

I remember how it felt to weigh 300 pounds!

What time of day do you guys workout?
I can't go until 5:00-5:30 and by the time I get home, it makes for a late supper. Not to mention that I am starving by the time I get home.

Same. Lots of times I go home and eat and then go to the gym after. Sure, I'm there late, but it works for me.

I think about it as part of a days work. Been hitting the gym for lunch for 25 years.
Same here, as long as I don't have a craving/uncontrollable starvation for lunch, I hit the gym.
Once in a while I'll have to take a nasty shite on leg day and that might dissuade me from working out.

The struggle is real. There are days like today, I'm just not feeling it.

Used to be 340 lbs, I'll never be that big again. Waking up each day was a battle in itself.

Goals man. I'm competitive as shite. And the best competition I have is with myself. That stems from anything, PRs, BF%, etc. Hell just a mirror test and weekly pics. I used to have my before pic posted up on my mirror. Now I have a picture of me from about a year ago.
That pic was the best shape I had ever been in, granted I was working 20hours a week, not taking classes that summer. I lived in the gym or in the kitchen.
It's an unattainable goal now that I've moved on to a 9-5. But I'll be damned if I don't try to reach it

i think about how obesity and heart problems runs in my family which motivates me to get out and run, even when I don't want to

Squeeze my gut and tell my fat arse to get into the gym.

Pre workout will help a lot.
I have an addictive personality so i am "addicted" to waking up at 5 - 530 am M-F to hit the gym now. Two of best buddies started hitting gym hard core 3 years ago, i was jealous so i started. It also feels awesome to have compliment you on great your body looks or "have you lost weight".
I also have my wedding in 45 days, so I want to look great, even tho I will be in pants and a shirt.
Also working out in the am, makes my mind and body in such a better place throughout the day.

I know when I was in the best shape of my life I felt like I was better set up for success in the workplace. Especially in a career field with lots of women, so as I feel like I've missed out on some opportunities lately that helps drive me

I go look in the mirror and usually that's enough. But if I am feeling really unmotivated I will put 60lbs in my vest and wear it a couple hours and I realize very quickly....frick that, no way I am gonna allow myself to get like that again.

The past few weeks I've been seeing strength gains on Greyskull and it's become addictive. Working out to gain strength is way more fun that working out to not lose it

frick yes it is. Especially as you are pushing up more weight every week but the weight on the scale is dropping.
Which template are you running?

I stare at myself in the mirror while listening to 80's power love ballads, do a quick sob cameo, listen to Kenny Loggins, and hit the iron.

Bodybuilding, but I changed it up a little and added a little volume and more variety.
I rotate:
On top of the base program. The biggest improvement I've seen so far is in my bench. I'm at 162 for 5 reps, pumping out 7 on an AMRAP. The most I've ever lifted on bench is 200 for 1 rep.. and it was a real grind. At this rate I'm going to smoke that.
