Absolutely right. He will have a few years in prison to think about it.

live about 2 miles off the trace on a country road that makes a loop, so I get a lot of riders (and motorcycles) passing by on weekends.
Fernvale? Hwy 96? Pinewood?
I'm right near waddell hollow myself.

The National Park Service has safety guidelines for bicyclists on the Natchez Trace Parkway online. They are supposed to follow the same rules of the road as motorists, riding single file on the right.
Wondering if the cyclist will be charged with anything?

Not like you. Be safe out there.

I'm all for bike riding but could never take the side of the lance Armstrong wanna be spandex wearer crowd. Also CAD is on that said. So I'm #TeamVehicle

If it's a group of 8 ot more a special use permit is required which does state they are required to ride single file. This wasn't a group of 8 or more from what I've read.

When was the last time you saw a scuba diver playing in the street? Scuba diver in high boat traffic would be an idiot.

Never really put any thought into it. It doesn't move the meter when I see someone in a wet suit. But every time I see someone in the atrocious biking gear I always point and laugh. Same with the Harley fan boys playing dress up.

Where did you get this from? I'm not in TN, but that's no law I've ever heard. Also, riders have the right to two abreast, not single file in most states. Depending on a group size, two abreast actually makes it easier to pass, but most will never realize it's easier to wait to pass I the other lane and overtake a line 5 riders long (two abreast) than it is to pass a line 10 riders long (single file). Theyd rather squeeze by the single file line without waiting until it's fully clear, which is going to be more dangerous.

One hates to have to break it down this simple.
But
By some people's logic here, 18 wheelers have the right to run you and your families off the road because you are the smaller user on the road.
