And to think half of South Louisiana's population is spending their hard-earned money in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach right about now. What a dump!

Yeah, this state has some very nice outdoor spots. Bankhead is a cool spot for backwoods camping.

I'm not sure what you are saying? The teams you referenced were chock full of talent. Bama is twice as good as 08. We are not near where we were.

Face it, pray the weather is good and beer is cold.

Oh, so coach Orgeron doesn't belong on the sa me field as saban huh? You realize that he went toe-to-toe with him last year and it was a 0-0 game until really late when they scored their 1st and only td? We didn't play well that game either. We only lost 10-0 and it was truly a closer game than even that score would have you think. I guess les miles belonged on the same field as saban right? Then again, you're right, why are we even going to play bama this year since you've already written it u down as a loss? Let's just forfeit the game bc there's no way that we can win the game. Pussy.

Meh, I think we are close.
We are not closer. We are going into this season more unproven than in any season prior. If Guice gets hurt, we dont have a person on our offense that would start for Alabama.

We have a guy on the sideline calling plays whose team beat the team that beat Alabama in the NCG.

BTW, I doubt seriously that any starter on last year's Pitt offense would start at LSU this year.

It's about brains as much as it is braun.

What does him having been beaten have to do with anything? Are you really trying to assert that O is as good, or better, of a coach as Saban?

Maybe he's just saying that Saban can be beat. I don't think Hugh Freeze is as good or a better coach than Saban.

Watched it again last night as well - offseason boredom.
We had no Offense, but our D was stellar.
We should have played Guice more. However, IMO this year's game will again come down to our QB play. Etling will HAVE to do something to win it for us.

We've seen numerous times that a mobile quarterback has been the catalyst in beating bama. Maybe we should train Narcisse all season for bama. It's not like we can do any worse on offense than zero points.

After watching that game, we are not far behind Bama. Make a few more passes and we may win the game.
Find an Offensive Line that can consistently pass block and a competent OL Coach that can teach it.

Well, no shite.

Les Miles beat him too. I also happen to think that Saban is a better coach than Miles.

I don't get the hate for Nick Saban. Yeah it's frustrating that he fields dominant teams year after year but he's the best and he's a winner plain and simple. If LSU would have backed up the Wells Fargo truck to Nick Sabans front door in 2004 we would probably have three more national titles.

Just my opinion, but I dont think it was money that lured him to the NFL and I doubt money is what drives him at all.

Money probably wasn't the only reason but I'm sure it was a factor. I believe he was only making a little over a million a year at the time which was a lot then.
