Antonio Gates didn't even play football in college. He has to be #1 on this list. Saban recruited him to Michigan State to play both football and basketball. Then once he got to campus Saban said no basketball. So he left and never played football in college.
From that he turned into the 2nd best TE ever. That has to make him #1 here.

He's not a HOF by any means but I'm surprised Mike Wallace has been successful in the NFL. Never really put it all together at Ole Miss but he's done very well for himself in the NFL
Ole Miss seriously underachieved back then. They had some great players on their roster.

It's really hard to do this with college basketball players- everyone knew Westbrook was a baller and he just needed to work on this midrange game. He was an excellent defender at UCLA and could get to the rim when he wanted. The NBA is a different game- guys that stay 1 or 2 years in college but are freak athletes shouldn't surprise anyone.
I remember being at Pauley Westbrook freshman year and him teabagging a 7ft center. I have loved him ever since.

Rayfield Wright played several positions at a small college, was a late round draft choice, and didn't see the field for his first couple of years as a pro.
The Cowboys moved him to Tackle out of necessity and he ended up making the 70's All Decade team and was eventually inducted to the HOF.
Not sure he counts because he never played Tackle in college.
